Is your organization currently using Microsoft Dynamics AX? So you probably know we are getting close to the end of Microsoft's support for Dynamics AX. Now Microsoft Dynamics 365, delivered entirely in the cloud, lets Microsoft offer an entirely new functional, licensing, and maintenance model with new capabilities and economic benefits for the users.
In a study by Forrester in 2020, almost all customers could reduce the total cost of ownership of their ERP by migrating from AX 2009 and/or AX 2012 to Dynamics 365 in the cloud. Forrester's model showed a typical TCO reduction of 3.4% as a result of migration to the cloud made up of the following forces:
Consolidation of licensing and on-premises support with cost savings of about 8%, and for global organizations with multiple deployments as high as 20%
Elimination of on-site infrastructure once migrated to Dynamics 365, leaving an average savings of $25 500 on server deployment and $13 950 on annual running costs
Reducing the workload of IT system administrators by half after migrating to the cloud solution.
